OnePlus has just unveiled the OnePlus 11 Concept phone, featuring what the company calls “Active Cryoflux” cooling technology, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona Spain today.

According to OnePlus, the cooling solution can reduce temperatures of the smartphone by up to 2.1℃, which they claim can provide 3-4 additional frames per second in mobile gameplay.

Active CryoFlux can also allegedly bring the temperature down when charging by 1.6℃, roughly shaving off 30-45 seconds from the charging time. The company says that with Active CryoFlux, they were able to miniaturize the industry-grade cooling capabilities of gaming PCs into a smartphone.

The OnePlus 11 Concept itself was designed to showcase the possibility of Active CryoFlux in terms of aesthetics and design, which features an ice-themed back that runs along the camera module up to the back panel, with the phone’s vapor chambers highlighted as well.

During their presentation, OnePlus also showed off its most recent flagship phone, the OnePlus 11 5G. You can read more about our thoughts on the OnePlus 11 5G here.
