PLDT Enterprise Now an Official Starlink Reseller in the Philippines

PLDT Enterprise has officially partnered with Starlink to become the first telco in the Philippines authorized to resell its satellite internet service. While Starlink has been available locally since 2023, this is the first time a major telco is bundling it into its enterprise-grade connectivity lineup.

The partnership is aimed at businesses operating in remote and underserved areas where traditional fiber and mobile networks struggle to reach. By leveraging Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology, PLDT is expanding its reach and offering more resilient internet solutions.

“Through the integration of Starlink, we are extending the reach and resilience of our connectivity solutions, especially in areas where traditional infrastructure is limited,” said Mitch Locsin, First Vice President and Head of Enterprise Core Business at PLDT and Smart.

“This advancement reinforces our dedication to empowering enterprises to operate with greater agility, drive innovation, and accelerate their digital transformation, wherever they are in the country,” Locsin added.

Nico Alcoseba, First Vice President and Head of Product Management and Global Capacity Strategy at PLDT Enterprise, also highlighted Starlink’s reliability. He said the system can reroute traffic through multiple gateways, keeping businesses online even during local terrestrial outages.

PLDT’s move to integrate Starlink into its enterprise offerings is a big step toward closing the digital divide in the Philippines. With over 100,000 Starlink subscribers already in the country and 13 ground gateway sites deployed, satellite internet is becoming a viable option for businesses that need reliable connectivity no matter where they operate.
