Snapdragon G Series: Snapdragon G1
Snapdragon G1 powers fanless handheld gaming devices for game streaming, whether local or via the cloud. It focuses on providing lag-free connectivity and battery life. This enables players to stream their favorite console and PC games at the best possible quality for longer periods of time.
The first member of the Snapdragon G1 family, the Snapdragon G1 Gen 1 Platform, allows high-quality handheld game-streaming devices with its Kryo CPU (8-core) paired with the Adreno A11 GPU.
Snapdragon G2
Snapdragon G2 is a highly optimized processor that unlocks full-featured mobile and cloud gaming.
The Snapdragon G2 Gen 1 Platform, the first product in this tier, features the latest Kryo CPU (8-core), a gaming-optimized Adreno A21 GPU. And the Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System, allowing gamers to explore mobile and cloud gaming without compromise.
The platform also includes cutting-edge 5G and Wi-Fi 6/6E from FastConnect 6700 Mobile Connectivity System.
Snapdragon G3
Finally, the flagship tier Snapdragon G3. Devices built on Snapdragon G3 enable best-in-class gaming experiences across a broad spectrum of gaming ecosystems, building off the incredible reception of the Razer Edge 5G 11 powered by Snapdragon G3x Gen 1.
The newest product in the enthusiast-class G3 Series is the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 Platform, which offers over 30% faster CPU performance and a whopping 2x faster GPU performance compared to its predecessor, with a Kryo CPU (8-core) and Adreno A32 GPU.
It boasts multi-generational performance improvements and high-end gaming features. Some of these features include hardware-accelerated ray tracing, game super resolution, and XR glass tethering.
For audio, it sports low-latency premium Bluetooth audio with Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite. And Wi-Fi 7 High-Band Simultaneous (HBS) paired with 5G sub-6 and mmWave for fast and responsive wireless speeds.
The company says it’s increasing diversity in gaming content, capabilities, and cost by expanding its Snapdragon G Series product line. This will allow for a wider range of handheld gaming devices and form factors.
Collaborations with AyaNeo, Huaqin, Inventec, and Thundercomm are underway. And expect more handheld gaming devices to come equipped with Snapdragon G Series Platforms.
