REDMI Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max now official

Xiaomi has officially expanded its performance-focused Turbo lineup in China with the launch of two new smartphones: the REDMI Turbo 5 and the REDMI Turbo 5 Max. Both devices emphasize power, endurance, and durability, but target slightly different users, with the Turbo 5 positioned as a balanced performance phone, and the Turbo 5 Max pushing extremes in battery capacity and raw horsepower.

The REDMI Turbo 5 Max headlines the launch as the first smartphone powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500s chipset, paired with an enormous 9,000mAh battery designed for marathon gaming and all-day heavy use.

Meanwhile, the REDMI Turbo 5 arrives with the new Dimensity 8500, quad IP ratings, and a still-impressive 7,560mAh battery, offering a more compact but equally rugged alternative.

Both phones ship with Android 16 and HyperOS 3, feature AMOLED displays with up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, and include advanced cooling solutions to sustain performance under load. Xiaomi also continues to double down on durability, with top-tier dust and water resistance ratings across both models.

For now, both devices are exclusive to the Chinese market, with no confirmation yet on global availability.
