Along with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7, Samsung also announced their Galaxy Watch8 series.
The Galaxy Watch8 series introduces a slimmer, more comfortable design, brighter display, new health and AI features (like the Antioxidant Index and Vascular Load), improved heart rate accuracy, and a more robust software experience, while maintaining strong durability and performance.

The Galaxy Watch8 series adopts a new “cushion” design, blending a circular display with a squircle (square with rounded edges) frame, making it the thinnest Galaxy Watch yet at just 8.6mm—about 11% slimmer than the Watch7. The Watch8 Classic brings back the popular physical rotating bezel for navigation.
This new band attachment system reduces the gap between the watch and your wrist, improving comfort and providing more accurate heart rate tracking. However, it requires new bands, as it’s not compatible with previous straps.
Both models feature sapphire crystal for enhanced scratch resistance. The Classic model now offers up to 64GB of internal storage, double the previous generation. The Exynos W1000 (3nm) processor and 2GB RAM remain. Minor capacity increase for longer use, with the 44mm model at 435mAh and the 40mm at 325mAh.
The Watch8’s Super AMOLED screen now reaches up to 3,000 nits peak brightness (up from 2,000 nits) which improves outdoor visibility.
Google Gemini AI is built in, enabling voice-powered assistance and smarter notifications directly on your wrist. Measures carotenoid levels to track your body’s antioxidant status which is a first for Galaxy Watches, along with Wear OS 6 and One UI 8 Watch.
