Samsung is reportedly discontinuing the Galaxy S26 Edge

Listen to article

Samsung may finally be putting the Edge lineup to rest. According to a report from Korea, the company has completed development of the Galaxy S26 Edge, but it won’t be launching under the “Edge” name anymore.

An anonymous Samsung official told local media, “I’m not sure if the slim line will ever return, but as of now, it seems unlikely. It’s practically gone.”

The move isn’t surprising, given that the Galaxy S25 Edge saw disappointing sales earlier this year. Data from Hana Investment & Securities shows that only 1.31 million units were shipped as of August — far behind the Galaxy S25 (8.28 million), S25+ (5.05 million), and S25 Ultra (12.18 million).

With this shift, Samsung is expected to streamline its upcoming lineup to three models: the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, which are reportedly set to debut in January 2026.
