Smart VoLTE launched in Metro Manila

Smart has launched the VoLTE service in Metro Manila to provide high-definition voice call quality.

Starting in Metro Manila, select Smart subscribers will be able to receive the Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) service which provides better call quality than 2G or 3G. Users will be able to hear clearer sounds and voices with almost no background noise thanks to this technology. This also allows using the internet even while you are on call.

Smart has stated that VoLTE-capable devices such as Samsung Galaxy S8 and higher, Huawei Mate 20 or P20, and others are required to be able to use the service.

Soon, Smart will also roll out the service to Smart Signature plan holders and to other areas in the Philippines as well.
