The Nothing Headphone 1 has been leaked as a premium competitor

Listen to article

Since its brand’s inception, Nothing has always maintained its clean yet sophisticated design identity. From smartphones, to wireless earbuds, the company has implemented its aesthetic philosophies onto a vast range of products. Now, thanks to some leaks, we can finally witness the long-awaited arrival of the Nothing Headphone 1.

Images first surfaced on community threads then rapidly made the rounds around tech enthusiast circles.

The Nothing Headphone 1 carries over the unique design of its siblings, this time in headphone form. The plain, rectangular frame shelters the rounded cups with numerous elements within. Whether in black or white, some elements such as the tinge of red on the side gives the otherwise-monochromatic headphones some personality.

On the cup, meanwhile, is a line of text saying “SOUND BY KEF.”

Yes, Nothing has partnered with the renowned British hi-fi audio brand to give the headphones some legitimacy. According to their site, it says: “KEF is one of the most respected names in audio, and we’re proud to partner with them as we take the next step in expanding Nothing’s audio journey,” said Andrew Freshwater, Head of Smart Products Marketing at Nothing. “By combining KEF’s decades of expertise with our design-led approach to technology, we’re laying the groundwork for a new standard in everyday listening. Our products launching later this year mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter of our collaboration and the future of Nothing Audio.”

All this information points toward the Nothing Headphone 1 competing within the premium segment, ready to contend with titans such as the Bose QuietComfort Ultras and the Sony XM6s.

Not much else is known about it, but other sources have confirmed compatibility with wired usage.

Would you get them?
