The UNISOC T760 chipset has been launched in India as the brand’s latest budget 5G SoC. The new chipset is slated to provide more options for consumers in the growing 5G smartphone market.
While not as high profile in comparison to other manufacturers, UNISOC‘s chipsets have powered affordable best-selling smartphones. Notable devices include the TECNO SPARK Go and the realme C35 to name a couple.
The UNISOC T760 is an octa-core chipset manufactured with the 6-nanometer EUV process. Its design consists of four (4) Cortex-A76 performance cores and four (4) Cortex-A55 power efficiency cores.
For graphics, the T760 is paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC4 GPU. In addition, it comes with a dedicated NPU with 3.2 TOPS performance for AI processing.
UNISOC says that the chipset should score 510,000 on average with the AnTuTu V10 benchmark tool. We can infer that its performance should be close to chipsets such as the Dimensity 6080 and Snapdragon 4+ Gen 2.
The UNISOC T760 can support up to FHD+ resolutions at a refresh rate of 120Hz and QHD at 60Hz. For optics, it can support up to four (4) cameras peaking at 64-megapixels.
It has the Vivimagic 6.0 imaging engine and Acutelogin 3A technology to boost its camera performance as well.
Wrapping up, UNISOC promises a 37% power consumption reduction in general 5G data scenarios. They also said that power reduction in 5G standby scenarios should be reduced by 18% in comparison to their older chipsets.
Hopefully, we get to test devices with this chipset in the future to double-check. So, stay tuned if this ever reaches Philippine shores.
