The vivo V40 and vivo V40 Pro are slated to launch in India next week on August 7th, 2024. While the V40 has been available in other parts of the world, the V40 Pro is just making its debut.

The V40 sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the phone will offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The phone features 50-megapixel dual-rear cameras in collaboration with ZEISS and another 50-megapixel shooter at the front. It also packs a 5,500mAh battery with 80W of wired fast charging support.

As for the V40 Pro, details are scarce. The image above shows the V40 Pro on the left and base V40 on the right. The difference at first glance is mostly in the Aura Light ring placement.

It will be powered by a Dimensity 9200+, a 5,500mAh battery, 80W fast charging, and an IP68 rating.

As the Pro variant of the series, it will have significant changes for optics. We only know that the V40 Pro offers up to 50x digital zoom with a Sony IMX816 sensor.

The vivo V40 Pro will come in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey color options. The base V40 will offer an extra Lotus Purple colorway, based on their teaser website here.

We’ve yet to uncover if the vivo V40 series will arrive in the Philippines anytime soon. However, we’ll be sure to let readers know as soon as possible.
