WhatsApp is developing filter for favorite contacts

Listen to article

As per this article, WhatsApp is developing a filter or tab for users’ favorite contacts.

However, this is notably in the works for Android users. Developers have been working on this feature for some time, allowing WhatsApp users to add, remove, and rearrange contacts.

This small change is to improve the app’s user experience, ease, and accessibility. This removes the need for users to scroll down whenever they’d need to message a person they’d regularly converse with.

In a time where remote work is widely accepted, this should be really handy for quick voice and video calls.

The only caveat for WhatsApp users is that the feature is still in the infancy stage. It’s also still not up for beta testers, which says that developers are taking their time prior to release.

But as mentioned, it’s highly likely that Android users will be the first to experience this change.

What do you guys think of WhatsApp developing a filter for your favorite contacts? Is it an appreciated change? Let us know in the comment section below.
