Xiaomi 13 Series first look, to launch on December 11

Xiaomi just teased its next flagship lineup, the Xiaomi 13 Series, along with its new launch date on December 11 at 7:00 pm in China, after they postponed the initial schedule from December 1.

The brand via Weibo posted official posters of the Xiaomi 13 Series both boasting the Leica moniker at the camera module.

Starting with the standard model, Xiaomi 13 that has flat frame and flat screen based on the posters. At the back we see a square layout camera module with triple lenses (almost like an iPhone), and of course, the Leica branding.

The finish looks like a blue faux leather and steel frame on the sides.

Moving on to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which retains the curved rear and display. It also has a triple rear camera setup with the same layout as the vanilla model. It is expected to be all 50 megapixels lens just like its predecessor, the Xiaomi 12S Pro.

Xiaomi also uploaded a promotional video of the Xiaomi 13 Pro, showcasing its durability. With that, we can expect an IP68 certification on this lineup. You may watch the video below.

The Xiaomi 13 Series is said to have the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and MIUI 14-skinned Android 13 out of the box.

Other devices to expect with new flagship series launch is the Xiaomi Buds 4 and Xiaomi Watch S2.

The initial launch date was on December 1st, but Xiaomi postponed it at the last minute due to the passing of an official of the Chinese Communist Party, former General Secretary Jiang Zemin.
