AMD has announced the global availability of their Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX and 2920X processors after announcing their prices a few months back.
The Threadripper 2970WX comes with 24 cores and 48 threads, a 4.2/3.0 boost/base frequency (GHz), 250W TDP, and 64 PCIe Gen 3.0 Lanes while the 2920X features 12 cores and 24 threads, a 4.3/3.5 boost/base frequency (GHz), 180W TDP, and the same number PCIe Gen 3.0 lanes. Both the 2970WX and 2920X will be available on October 29, 2018, while the other two variants are already available for purchase since August.
