Dell Inspiron Mini 12 Price: Php33,999

Listen to article

Although it was confirmed last August that Dell has discontinued the Inspiron Mini 12, it looks like several units of the 12-incher has already arrived and being sold at Accent Micro.

Dell realized that if customers want a full 12-inch notebook, they’d also want some more power to go with it so netbook specs won’t really cut it.

Dell Inspiron Mini Specs:
12.1” display screen @ 1280×800 pixels
Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz
1GB DDR2 RAM
80GB Hard Drive
Intel GMA 500
Bluetooth
WiFi 802.11b/g
1.3MP Webcam
3-cell Li-Ion battery
3-in-1 card reader
Windows XP Home

Suggested retail price is Php33,999 at Tradeport. A bit expensive considering the specs aren’t that very impressive (and come to think of it, the Inspiron Mini 10A only costs Php21,000).

At 34K, it’s much more cost-efficient to get a full-plegde notebook. Wonder if they sold any unit with this price.

what’s with the insane price point? is this because they consider the 12inch LCD display to be a real estate of sort?

Way too expensive for a thing that is sooooo Jurassic in terms of computing power.
