A couple of months ago, the MSI Primo 81 arrived in stores for Php8,995. It’s smaller sibling, the MSI Primo 76, has also landed with a suggested retail price of Php9,995.
MSI Primo 76 specs:
7-inch IPS LCD display @ 800×280 pixels
Mediatek MT8389 1.2GHz quad-core processor
PowerVR SGX544MP graphics
1GB RAM
16GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD card
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1
5MP rear AF camera
2MP front-facing camera
micro USB port
micro HDMI port
GPS
Li-Ion 4,000mAh battery
Android 4.2 Jellybean
The micro-USB also supports OTG (USB On-the-Go). MSI states it has a phone talk function but not really SIM card so we’re thinking it’s just internet calls. The tablet is available in Villman for Php9,995.
Im keen on getting one but getting confused with the reviews. Yuga tech says it doesnt have sim slot while other websites say it does have one? One even says where it is exactly located, so im thinking, which is which? Is Yuga tech reviewing a different MSI primo 76? Hope to be clarified on this one. Thanks!
I had a bad experience with the msi primo 8.1 since I bought it lagi sira. naka 3 palit ata ako bago nawala na sa 1 year warranty. masyado outdated na specs ng msi tablets. for me sayang lang pera mo sa msi tablets. sakit pa sa ulo pag lagi sira. pabalik balik sa service center dyan malapit sa poea. hanap ka na lang ng mas maganda and proven na brand.
OK naman pricing with its specs, I got mine at MSI showroom SM cyberzone for P9,100. Its a 3.5G phablet will call functionality(with sim card) & wi-fi hotspot. Deal breaker for me is the HDMI port which N2 doesn’t have, easier to connect to TV with out the costly MHL adapter and for those audiophiles like me to play FLAC & MP3 files thru digital ampfifier(HT amps),It has expandable memory up to 32g + USB OTG, N2 is fixed at 16 or 32g which frustrates me lately with my 2-year old ipad mini. For other features such higher display res,2gb ram, and overall build quality my Primo 76 is inferior to NEXUS2…
hello jun dlc, how is your msi primo 76 now? I bought a primo 81 last December 2013. mid 2014 it was replaced with a brand new unit because it was not charging. then just last two weeks ago the new unit was broken (the power button not working and some apps cant be transferred to the sd)brought it again to the service center and told me it was going to be replaced by msi primo 76. I went to msi maga mall and learned that the msi primo 81 is already phased out and the msi primo 76 is selling for P5K. this is really frustrating. I should have bought an ipad or Samsung.
CHerry superion Odyssey much cheaper and real phone capability
O_O Phone talk without a sim? good one MSI, ahahahaha memo pad nalang!
phone talk without sim means a skype or viber functionality
phone talk not sim ? cheap tricks
shabu pa MSI..
this comment ftw. HAHA
bad pricing… 2k more and you get a nexus 7 with way better specs tsk tsk
nexus 7 2nd gen nga po 11,500 nalang sa kimstore. .malupit na specs at battery, full hd pa..
May serious hardware defect ang lahat ng N7, dalawang beses na akong nagpa-LBC (ordered two for my niece and cousin, respectively) sad to say, may sporadic touchscreen issues pa rin, you have been warned.I was about to get one for myself pero I decided to wait for the G-pad instead.
Worth it naman pag browse-browse lang, pero pag ang involved na yung quick swiping/tapping, especially sa mga fighting games, dito ka na mafu-frustrate.
No problems with the nexus 7 2013 edition…
I got it from an authorized ASUS Store in SM’s cyberzone
Been using it for a month and half… Even got it to update to Android 4.4, then a minor OTA update to fix a volume bugfix inherent in KItkat…
Ive been playing real racing 3 and have no touch problems
