The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 is the likely successor to the popular Lumix LX3 and while it has not yet been officially released in the Philippines, a few units have been spotted in the grey market.

With a 1/1.63″ sensor size, the Lumix LX5 was announced back in July and brings some cosmetic and feature improvements over the LX3.

Shame on INFOMAXX for excessive mark-up. A small shop in Robinsons, Pioneer will most likely offer the LX5 at the 25k mark. Last time I visited, the have the LX3 for 19.5k and NEX-5 for 34K.

Currently vacationing in Japan and saw it in that big electronics store in Akihabara (Yodobashi?)… its Y57,000 (roughly P30k). Not sure if you can take 5% off duty free, in which case it would be about P28,500. The catch… no english interface available :(
