I would not have believed it myself but I guess I just caught one of them thru the lens of my camera.
Photos were taken during our week-end trip to Mt. Siniloan in Famy. This one was from Batya-batya Falls just a few hundred meters from Buruwisan where we camped.
I zoomed in on the photo and noticed that it had an uncanny resemblance to a very small human with some sort of wings fluttering from its back, though it brightly shined as if it had a white silhouette.

I don’t believe in engkanto. The thing on the picture is I think somethin that glitters. Or maybe the other part of the falls. :)
Abe Olandres says:
I myself was a bit shocked when I saw this. We didn’t notice anything at that time. It was actually raining and the falls was covered with huge trees and the rocky mountains on both sides so it’s almost impossible that it was a reflection from the sun. Likewise, I did not turn my camera’s flash since this is a wide shot. As far as I can remember, there are no other sources of light around there nor any other person taking pictures.

Yuga, its nice of you to write an entry about Famy. I have been to Famy quite a number of times while I was still in UP and I have not thought about camping for awhile now. Its nice to see that it probably has not changed alot, but I heard that there are people selling ice and softdrinks close to camp?!? Can you please tell me more about the changes?
Abe Olandres says:
Hi sepikmom!
I went there last year as well and quite a bit has changed since then. There are around 4 or 5 stations where small cottages are built for trekkers to rest esp. if it rains. Some of the stations have stands for food or drinks ranging from softdrinks to iced water to fresh buko.
The camp site is full as always but the villagers who lived there were helpful in cooking the canned foods that we brought (for a low service fee). There were some campers too that brought ropes and gears with them for rapelling on Sunday mornings. That part was fun!
During our stay, there were a platoon of boy scouts running around for their orienteering.
All the rest looks the same to me. :)

I’m re posting some of my previous comments since I had to restore back my site from an old backup. My DB got screwed up.

Magnified to 600%. Image height is about 2.5 – 3 ft. based on the ratio of sizes of the people in the picture.
I used a Canon Digital Ixus 30 on normal mode. T’was about 3 or 4PM and was raining a bit.
herms says:
Hmm honestly my personal view base sa nakita on the net it looks real… but we all knows image can be change or doctored artistically once scanned for website… sayang you are using digital cam that time…
Alam mo kung gumamit ka lang ng normal camera with 135photofilm then we can ask the experts to examine the negatives. Then you can claim na totoo talaga ito.
thynks.
