A more affordable Galaxy Z Flip7 FE reportedly in the works

Listen to article

A new report from industry insider Ross Young suggests that Samsung is gearing up to launch a more affordable foldable device next year: the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.

The upcoming device is expected to share similar display specifications with the flagship Galaxy Z Flip 7 but may feature downgraded camera sensors and a less powerful chipset.

Recent leaks point at the possibility of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE running on the Exynos 2400 chip. While this would still offer great performance, it’s worth noting that by the time the FE model launches, the chipset will be over a year old.

Samsung’s current foldable lineup is positioned at the premium end of the market, making it inaccessible for many consumers. For reference, the latest Galaxy Z Flip6 retails for PHP 70,990 for the 256GB trim.

The introduction of a more affordable FE model could help to expand the foldable market and attract a wider range of buyers.
