Facebook launches its own calendar app called Events

Facebook has gone more social with their new app dubbed Events from Facebook” which collates posted events on the social networking site into a simple and dedicated mobile app.

The app will fulfill your desire for social events that are happening. When you open Events, it will show the events your friends are interested, events by your liked Pages, and updates from events that you’re already connected.

You can also browse for events based on your location or where you’d want to go. It has a calendar too so you’ll be able to know when the event is on your schedule. It basically enhances the useful event planning feature of Facebook on the web.

The app is available for iOS (download here) in the US as of writing while Android users will have to wait to get a dose of Events.
