Listen to article

Google has announced that it’s rolling out Google Assistant for devices running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

In February, Google rolled out Google Assistant to smartphones running Android 7.0 Nougat and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Now the company is adding Android 5.0 Lollipop to the mix so users can enjoy the feature in older smartphones.

The Google Assistant on Android 5.0 Lollipop has started to roll out to users with the language set to English in the U.S., UK, India, Australia, Canada, and Singapore, as well as in Spanish in the U.S., Mexico, and Spain. It’s also rolling out to users in Italy, Japan, Germany, Brazil, and Korea. Once you get the update and opt-in, you’ll see an Assistant app icon in your “All apps” list.

In addition, the Google Assistant is also rolling out to tablets over the coming week to users with the language set to English in the U.S.

A useless article, because the Philippines is not on the list. So, how does this benefit us?
