While the Huawei P10 is already taking the spotlight, the former flagship of the Chinese tech giant will finally receive the awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update that was initially delayed.
Huawei announced it would begin the global rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 to the P9 in Q1 2017 or sometime this month. Huawei P9 owners can expect the update in the coming week but, of course, the rollout will take some time to reach all devices.
Some users already have the beta release of the software for months now but the full rollout will bring every P9 up to date with Google’s latest Android version plus the customization done by Huawei.
