Instagram has rolled out a new update for its Edits app. It adds bilingual captions, improved template tools and new seasonal sound effects.

The highlight of the update is bilingual captions. It can automatically translate video captions into a secondary language to help creators reach a wider audience. The feature currently supports English, Indonesian, Russian, Portuguese, Gujarati, Spanish, Hindi, Korean, Bengali, German, Italian, Thai, French, Japanese and Kannada. This means we could be expecting Filipino to come in later updates.
Edits also now lets creators build richer templates with overlay support and the option to lock specific clips. Locked clips remain in place when other users reuse the template to preserve key elements of a video.
The update also adds new seasonal sound effects, giving creators more audio options to add a summer-inspired touch to their content.
