Acer is once again the leader of the PC market in the Philippines for 2021. Acer Philippines sold 561,000 units in 2021 from 394,000 in 2020 and 347,000 in 2019. For Acer, sales of gaming notebooks nearly doubled with 113,000 units sold last year from 75,000 in 2020 and 38,000 in 2019. Acer has just released a special edition of the Acer Aspire Vero, the National Geographic Edition. According to Acer, each purchase of this special version helps support the US-based nonprofit organization National Geographic Society in its work to protect the world through exploration, research, and education. “Acer has been taking steps over the past several years to reduce its ecological footprint. The Vero product lineup, born from our Earthion platform, represents the latest of these efforts,” said James Lin, General Manager, Notebooks, IT Products Business, Acer Inc. The Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition builds on this design by also using 30% PCR in the laptops screen bezel and 50% in its keycaps, further reducing the laptop’s footprint.
