In line with the General Availability of Windows 8, Acer Philippines today launched their latest offerings which includes 2 tablet PCs ( Iconia Tab W510 and W700), an Ultrabook ( Aspire S7 which is available in two sizes, 11.6 and 13.3”) and two All-in-one PCs ( Aspire 5600U and 7600U).
We’ve already given you a short introduction about these Windows 8 devices on our previous posts so we suggest reading through those by clicking the link for each product.
Along with the launch of these new products, AcerCloud was also highlighted during the event. This cloud storage solution enables user to easily share files with other smart devices (Android) and access those whenever and wherever. Acer also mentioned that they’re planning to bring the AcerCloud to Windows-based devices in the future, we’re not sure though if it’ll have support for the iOS platform in the future.
Another good thing about it is that it’ll be bundled on all Acer PCs(Q2 2012 onwards) at no extra charge. The catch is that the uploaded files can only accessed for 30 days, meaning you’ll have to migrate those before the given time expires or else it’ll be automatically deleted. In a nutshell, AcerCloud was not meant to store your files for a long period of time, its main function is to temporary store the files to allow users to access it from any supported device anywhere they are.
These new Acer products are set to hit the shelves next month. SRP for each product are as follow:
