The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has opened the doors for colleges to offer Game Development courses and a few heeded the call. They call this as “Agile Development," and harnesses Project-Based Learning (PBL) model where theories and concepts are blended with application-oriented laboratory exercises and project experiences. CIIT College of Arts and Technology (Quezon City) CIIT began with offering a two-year game development which became a full four-year college course known as Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Multimedia Computing (BS-EMC) in 2015. Colegio de San Juan de Letran (Laguna) Letran's Calamba campus offers Game Development as part of its Bachelor of Science offerings and may take three to five years to finish according to its website. De La Salle University (Laguna) DLSU is the latest to offer the Game Development course, and it didn't come without anything in its sleeve as the school system partnered with Ubisoft to offer a 4-year Game Development programs. Mapua University (Makati) Mapua recently added BS-EMC specializing in Game Development to its portfolio of courses and has been offered since AY 2016-2017.
