Apple may be unveiling their latest iPad Air which will have their M3 chipset. It looks like Apple may announce the newest iPad Air powered by the company's M3 processor. Tipster Evan Blass has revealed that Apple is currently in the works for two new iPad Air devices having an 11-inch and 13-inch screens. Although the latest iPad Pros have the M4 chipset, the current iPad Air tablets are still running their proprietary M2 processor. No other specifications for this year's iPad Air have been leaked, but there is also no official announcement from Apple either. According to the report, Intel could start producing Apple’s lowest-end M-series chips on its advanced 18A process as early as mid-2027, potentially for future MacBook Air, iPad Air, and iPad Pro models. Unlike the old Intel x86 processors used in Macs before 2020, these chips would still be Apple-designed Arm-based silicon, with Intel acting only as a foundry while TSMC continues to handle the bulk of M-series production.
