Canon finally announced their very own full-frame mirrorless camera, the Canon EOS R, to compete in the market. The Canon EOS R features a 30.3MP CMOS sensor, DIGIC 8 image processor, 4K UHD video recording up to 30fps, Canon Log, Dual Pixel CMOS Auto-Focus, and new RF mount that has the same size diameter as the EF mount (54mm) with a shorter back focus distance and a 12-pin communication system. Canon Philippines has officially revealed the local pricing and availability of the new EOS R6 V, a full-frame mirrorless camera aimed at photographers and content creators. The EOS R6 V features a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with Canon's DIGIC X image processor. Canon also equipped the EOS R6 V with Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, capable of subject tracking and face recognition for up to 100 registered people. The Canon EOS R6 V is available for pre-order through Henry's Cameras stores nationwide and during the Henry's Cameras Photo Fiesta from June 19 to 21, 2026 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. Canon has officially introduced the new Canon EOS R6 V, a hybrid-focused full-frame mirrorless camera designed for both professional video creators and photographers. The EOS R6 V is equipped with a new 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with the DIGIC Accelerator and DIGIC X image processors.
