Cebuana Lhuillier and Western Union have partnered up to unveil the launch of its digital money transfers via the eCebuana (or eCeb) mobile app with an embedded micro-savings account. Receivers in the Philippines have the choice to direct a Western Union international money transfer directly into the eCebuana app 24/7, as an alternative to retail pick-up. This service expansion follows the recent launch of Western Union services enabling customers to send and receive money at over 2,500 Cebuana Lhullier locations in the Philippines. Recipients can opt to receive their remittance through eCebuana app in three steps: • eCebuana users must simply select the receive money service. Customers can also opt to use the funds for various in-app services, including bills payment, load purchases, and direct remittances to other Micro Savings accounts, to a Cebuana Lhullier branch, or any other bank account. The eCebuana app is available to download on Android and iOS. BPI Online is currently offering money transfers with Cebuana Lhuillier to provide more options to its customers.
