Facebook is testing out a new feature called Instant Videos wherein you can watch videos without using your mobile data. Facebook told TechCrunch that the Instant Video test is available to a small percentage of Android users, and that the goal is to remove data costs when watching videos. Because of these, Facebook now puts a cover over potentially-graphic videos that warns the user of its nature and asks for consent before it plays. This safety measure also disables those videos from auto-playing (a feature they rolled out previously).
