When the Flare X from Cherry Mobile was launched, it was loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat with a promised OTA update to 5.1 Lollipop. We already reviewed the Flare X and it was indeed a promising smartphone. We're at Cherry Mobile's event right now where the company launches three new Flares namely: Flare 4, Flare S4, and Flare S4 Plus. Take note of these devices: Flare S3 Octa Flare S3 Power Flare S3 Lite Flare X These handsets are scheduled to receive their Android Lollipop updates before the year ends. During the latter part of September, Cherry Mobile has launched the Flare 2.0 which is part of the second wave of handsets under the local company’s portfolio. Much like its predecessor, there’s nothing really spectacular about the Flare 2.0’s physical attributes. Display The Flare 2.0 is equipped with the same 4-inch WVGA display of its predecessor. However, if you’re not too particular about those little enhancements usually found on a pricier phone, then we think that you should be able to tolerate the Flare 2.0’s shortcoming in the display category.
