Now that we've seen the Samsung Galaxy S3 and tried how the Exynos 4 Quad performs, we tried running a couple f synthetic benchmarks on the handset to see how it fares. We took three (3) of the most common benchmarks that we usually do when reviewing Android smartphones -- Quadrant Standard, Antutu Benchmark and Nenamark 2 -- with the latter focusing on the graphics performance of the smartphone. The Antutu Benchmark score of 10,148 is very close to the score of the NVidia Tegra 3 on the Transformer Prime. The Nenamark 2 benchmark gives it a rating of 58.8fps which is the highest frames per second we've ever tested on any handset to date. Though these are not really real-world tests, these numbers reflects what the Exynos 4 Quad fares compared to other handsets we've done the same exact benchmarks. It's already confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launched in the Philippines before end of October (that's next week!) and we finally got the retail price down to the dot -- Php34,990 (thanks to our source). The price isn't surprising (though I thought it would be a bit higher by a couple grand) considering its baby brother, the Galaxy S, sells for Php32,000. More "in the flesh" photos and first impressions of the Galaxy Tab here. Read more in our articles including "Samsung Galaxy S3 Benchmark Results" and "Samsung Galaxy Tab Price: Php34,990".
