galaxy s3 vs. htc one x

So the only obvious thing for us to do now that the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been finally announced is to compare it with the only other quad-core smartphone int he market, the HTC One X. Fortunately, we were able to sneak in an HTC One X during the demo session and placed it beside the Galaxy S3 for a photo-op. On paper alone, the Galaxy S3 got points for storage, screen size, the Gorilla Glass 2, GLONASS and the battery capacity. On the other hand, the HTC One X scored on the Super IPS LCD 2, HTC Sense UI, Beats Audio, a bit higher PPI, and not much else. Samsung is preparing its next major software release, One UI 8.5, and dozens of Galaxy devices are already confirmed to be included in the update rollout for 2026. Full list of Galaxy devices eligible for One UI 8.5 Samsung’s upgrade policy makes it simple to determine eligibility. Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early. I had 4 most likely candidates as a great iPhone alternative -- the HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia N96, Samsung i900 Omnia and the Sony-Ericsson Xperia.
