In effort to further intensify its campaign against spam/scam text messages, Globe is currently testing out a new automated SMS filtering mechanism that blocks unwanted messages from reaching its subscribers. In a statement, Joel Agustin, Globe SVP and Head of Service Management Division, Network Technical Group, said that the new filtering system has managed to block at least 10,000 spam and scam messages during the course of the testing phase. So it's not a surprise that Globe Telecom has dropped its Globe Visibility Mobile Prepaid kit down to just Php3,500. Globe started offering their new prepaid and postpaid plans for Visibility back in June 23 when we first reported it here. Disclosure: Both Globe Visibility and SmartBro 3G is an advertiser on this blog. People have been asking that since Globe Visibility has obviously moved into the flat prepaid and tiered postpaid models, what will happen to subscribers who are on the GV Unlimited plans? After which, Globe will be offering them a new post-paid plan on top of the existing one. Inside sources would not give details of what this new Globe Visibility plans will be but I reckon that it better be something of a close match to that of the unlimited or else they'd get a lot of flak from it.
