Globe is inching closer to their 2020 goal of deploying 2 million new broadband lines. As for their coverage, Globe was able to deploy fiber broadband in 12 cities in Metro Manila and in 19 provinces nationwide over the course of two years. Globe is also looking to bolster their mobile coverage by deploying massive MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) technology. All of these expansions by the telco are focused towards providing better broadband and mobile services by 2020. Globe Telecom shared its new plans for 2026 at its "The Blueprint" media event held recently at The Globe Tower. Instead, Globe is focusing on making sure its service is consistent, easy to get, and affordable for every Filipino. One of the biggest updates is Globe’s partnership with Starlink. Globe also celebrated being named the country’s most reliable network by Ookla, a global leader in internet testing.
