Globe Telecoms, in partnership with Roku, has announced a new Streamwatch device to be rolled out soon in the Philippines. The Roku-powered streamwatch device is composed of a streaming stick which can be connected to Televisions and a remote control for navigation. The Globe streamwatch device is said to roll out in November of this year. While the old mobile hotspot has lost it purpose, Globe is trying to re-invent the mobile hotspot by making "The loop" a lifestyle-focused device -- like portable entertainment device with fast, unlimited 5G connectivity. Globe has announced The Loop, a three-in-one device used as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot, Android device, and speaker system.
