In a Facebook post, Grab Philippines said that the request for a Grab ride has doubled to more than 600,000 bookings daily. Grab's motorcycle taxi service, GrabBike, seems to be available in the Philippines once again. The service was launched by Grab in the Philippines in 2015, with limited operations. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has ordered GrabCar Philippines, MYTAXI.PH, Inc. In a letter addressed to GrabCar Phils., MYTAXI.PH, Inc.'s Operations Head, Gines Barot, LTFRB regional director and officer-in-charge Glenn Zaragoza said that GrabCar Philippines is not authorized to offer bikes and motorcycles as mode of public transportation citing safety issues and lack of authorization from the Board and DOTC.
