The HMD Fusion was announced at MWC despite well hidden design patent knowledge from IPOs. HMD Fusion is centered on what the company calls as ‘smart outfits’, which can be designed for a range of functions. According to this report, the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) was visited with the intent to discover more about the HMD Fusion design patents with no avail. HMD’s next modular smartphone could be around the corner, and leaks are already teasing some major upgrades. The HMD Fusion 2 reportedly keeps the same modular concept that made the first model unique but adds a faster 6.58-inch FHD+ 120Hz display and the new Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor for smoother overall performance. No launch date yet, but with leaks like these, the Fusion 2 might be gearing up for a reveal soon.
