Huawei's second Windows Phone 8 smartphone and the successor to the budget-friendly Ascend W1 is the Ascend W2. Huawei Ascend W2 has some few changes from its predecessor. You may check out our Huawei Ascend W1 review here. A leaked rendered image of what appears to be Huawei's new Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Ascend W2, has leaked online. As the name of the device suggests, this is a successor to the Huawei Ascend W1 that we reviewed last month. Being a step-up from the entry-level W1, the Ascend W2 falls in the mid-range level sporting a larger 4.3-inch IPS HD display, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording capabilities, and a 2,000mAh battery. Huawei makes some of the most interesting little gadgets around and when I visited their booth at CommunicAsia yesterday, they've got a dozens of Pocket WiFi and USB sticks for all sorts of cellular network on display. The one above is the Huawei WiFi E589 which supports LTE, 3G and 2G connections with speeds up to 50Mbps.
