HUAWEI Mate X7

HUAWEI has officially launched the Mate X7 to the global market, just weeks after its debut in China. The Mate X7 brings several upgrades, including stronger IP58 and IP59 water and dust protection and the new Kirin 9030 Pro chipset for better performance. HUAWEI continues to lead China’s foldable smartphone market, taking a 72.6% share in Q2 2025, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). The surge is largely attributed to the popularity of the HUAWEI Pura X and its other foldable models. This isn’t the first time HUAWEI topped the charts. Its success is driven by both high-end models like the Mate X7 and more affordable options like the nova Flip. Despite HUAWEI’s strong performance, overall foldable phone shipments in China dropped by 14% year-on-year, with just 2.21 million units sold. While rivals like Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, and Honor have already unveiled their 2025 foldables, Huawei is saving its big move for September.
