We’ve seen hybrid cameras and instant printers from Instax already, but what sets the LiPlay apart is not only that it has a dedicated app for its own model, it can also record up to 10 seconds of audio instantly. Fujifilm introduced its new instant camera, the instax mini 13, on April 22 during a pop-up event at SM Mall of Asia. Fujifilm said the design is aimed at younger users and those who enjoy simple and fun photography. In an interview with Inquirer.net, Glenn Gatan, the marketing head, added, “Of course, I can’t say anything specific, but 2026 is going to be an exciting year for instax,” he said. Fujifilm Philippines is leaning into the growing demand for physical keepsakes with the launch of the instax Mini Evo Cinema and instax Mini Link+, two new devices designed to blend digital convenience with tangible photo printing. The announcement was highlighted through an “In Our Film+ Era” pop-up event in Makati, where the brand showcased how instant photography can go beyond nostalgia and become part of modern creative workflows. Leading the launch is the instax Mini Evo Cinema, priced at PHP 22,599. The hybrid instant camera combines retro-inspired design with digital features, including its signature Eras Dial that allows users to apply multiple film-style effects.
