Intel confirms Ice Lake

"The Ice Lake processor family is a successor to the 8th generation Intel® Core™ processor family. Intel will be unveiling their 8th-gen CPU family named Coffee Lake and will also be discussing its Cannonlake CPU family. By this time, Intel would most likely tell more about the Ice Lake processor. Moreover, Intel will implement the 10nm+ micro architecture on Ice Lake CPUs, while the Cannonlake CPU family will see the 10nm die-shrink process of the Coffee Lake architecture. Intel will be live streaming Coffee Lake's official launch, as well as the official introduction of the aforementioned CPU families: the Cannonlake and the Ice Lake, on their Facebook page and newsroom at 8:00 AM PDT on August 21, 2017 (11:00 PM in the Philippines). The Core i7 920 2.66GHz has a price tag of Php16k at PC Express so I can only imagine the 940 to go as high as Php30k (based on SRP released by Intel Philippines). Of course, better speeds always come at a price: Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz - $284 (~ Php14,200) Intel Core i7 940 2.93GHz - $562 (~ Php28,100) Intel Core i7 965 3.2GHz Extreme Edition - $999 (~ Php49,950) On top of that, the system will only support DDR3 1066MHz which is still a bit expensive today compared to the standard DDR2.
