Multiply is joining the bandwagon by bringing in gray market units of the iPhone 5. The prices are almost the same level as the ones in Greenhills and in other online stores but Multiply is offering a Php3,000 discount to attract more buyers. The iPhone 5 16GB is selling at Php47,000, the 32GB at Php54,500 and the 64GB at Php58,500. Multiply also did this with the iPad 3 before it was officially released in the Philippines. It's their way of attracting more buyers to familiarize themselves with Multiply as an e-commerce platform. After over two weeks of using the iPhone 3G, I can fairly say I have become familiar with this mobile device to share some insights on how it fares as a primary mobile phone. In a way, I regard the iPhone 3G primarily as an internet device and media player that has the cute feature allowing you to make calls and send SMS. That being said, if you are a heavy SMS user, then the iPhone is not for you.
