Formerly known as HBO Max, WBD's Max will be replacing the streaming service of HBO Go. Max will be arriving in the Philippines on November 19, 2024. “Building on successful launches in the US, Latin America and Europe, Asia Pacific represents the next phase of Max’s globalisation, making Max available now in over 72 markets with more to come in 2025,” stated by CEO and President of Global Streaming and Games at WBD JB Perrette. Battery life is another highlight, lasting up to 7 days on typical use or 10 days max. Smart is finally out with its WiMax service and posters have been spotted about the new SmartBro WiMax subscription plans. I think we're a bit fortunate to have 3 competing WiMax providers in the Philippines -- there's Globe, Smart and Liberty Telecoms. But just like the existing 3G networks that have been rolled out for years, WiMax is also dependent on location.
