The unique feat of the COOLPIX P1000 is the 125x lens with a focal length that ranges from 24mm-3000mm. Nikon has just announced the new Coolpix P90 with a maximum optical zoom of 24x, one of the highest I've seen so far in compact cameras. Leaked details of the new Nikon dSLR were spotted in a couple US retail stores revealing some nice specs.
