Last year when Nikon joined the ILC bandwagon they had two entries representing them, the J1 and V1. Hoping to pick up where the Nikon J1 left of (which isn’t that far from the store shelves), the renowned camera manufacturer is said to launch the Nikon J2 this September. Software wise, the Nikon J2 is slightly smarter than the previous model which automatically turns on when users extends the lens and turns off when they retract it. The Nikon J2 (including the 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens) has a $549.95 price tag which is a hundred dollar cheaper than the J1. Nikon introduced a new entry-level dSLR, the Nikon D3100, which has the capability of recording full HD 1080p videos. The Nikon D3100 is the successor to the popular D3000 line and brings in a set of new features and upgrades. The Nikon D3100 will come with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR as the kit lens. The Nikon D90 is out; the Nikon D7000 is in -- this new mid-class dSLR from Nikon can do 1080p videos with a 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor.
