The devices which will be dropped out are devices with iOS 10, iOS 11, iPhone 5, and iPhone 5C in the coming months. Once this started, iPhones with iOS 11 and below will experience difficulties in using the app, unlike those devices using iOS 12 and above which can enjoy the full features of the app. Apple has released iOS 12.5.8 to keep key services like iMessage, FaceTime, and device activation working on older Apple devices that can no longer upgrade to newer versions of iOS. Apple confirmed the change in its release notes, saying the update ensures continued access to these services on supported older devices. iOS 12.5.8 and iPadOS 12.5.8 are available for a limited list of devices, including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, and the sixth-generation iPod touch.
