Intel Optane memory is the second product to utilize Intel's 3D XPoint technology after the Optane SSD DC P4800X announced last March. Optane memory is not a standalone storage solution, though, as it works in existing storage drive and memory. While it may sound good to help with older PCs, Optane memory is only supported in Kaby Lake systems. Optane memory solutions will available through international retailers in 16GB and 32GB capacities with prices of $44 (~Php2,200) and $77 (~Php3,900), respectively. Intel, today, has just announced its Optane SSD 375GB which the company claims is 1,000 times faster than NAND flash (SSD), 10 times denser than DRAM (computer memory), and has 1,000 times better endurance than NAND. The Optane SSD DC P4800X is Intel's first Optane-branded product that utilizes its new 3D XPoint memory.
