SKT, in partnership with Samsung Electronics and ID Quanitque, is releasing the world's first QRNG-powered 5G smartphone. The Galaxy A Quantum is a security-centric smartphone, equipped with a quantum random number generator (QRNG) chip that measures 2.5 x 2.5mm. This chip allows users to use selected services securely. Its security features include: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for T-ID Biometric authentication-based payments for SK Pay Blockchain-based mobile e-certification service Other features include a 6.7-inch Full HD Infinity-O display, Samsung's Exynos 980 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage with microSD support. Samsung has recently announced its newest Exynos 9 Series 9810 chip built on the world’s first 10nm FinFET process technology and is currently in mass production. According to vice president of System LSI marketing at Samsung Electronics Ben Hur, the chip comes with third-generation custom CPU, ultra-fast gigabit LTE modem and, deep learning-enhanced image processing. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with 8GB of RAM while having up to 16GB of virtual RAM available.
