Qualcomm claims the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 offers 10 percent faster CPU performance, `10 percent faster GPU clocks, and utilizes 15 percent power consumption for nearly an hour of extra gameplay. Additionally, Qualcomm unveils the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 that is targeted at gamers with 20 percent graphic performance boost versus the previous generation and trickled-down features like the Adreno Frame Motion Engine making games smoother through interpolating frames. Some familiar names that are up for release with the latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 are Asus ROG, Black Shark, Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, Motorola, Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, OSOM, realme, RedMagic, Redmi, vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE. Meanwhile, Honor, Oppo, and Xiaomi have signed up for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 with Qualcomm revealing that the phones will be seen within weeks. Qualcomm is keeping budget phones alive and kicking with two new chips, the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 4.
