Meta has introduced the second generation of its smart eyewear lineup, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 AI Glasses. The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 features updated cameras capable of recording 3K Ultra HD video along with a 12MP ultra-wide photo camera. The glasses keeps its lightweight design and come in multiple Ray-Ban frame styles and color options. The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 AI Glasses start at USD 379 in the United States. Both chips are developed closely in partnership with Meta which debuted their Meta Quest 3 which is powered by the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 and its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses that use the Snapdragon AR1 platform. Meta is reportedly preparing to launch new Ray-Ban smart glasses designed for people who wear prescription lenses, according to recent reports. While current Ray-Ban smart glasses already allow prescription lenses, these new versions are said to be built specifically for that purpose.
